mid-winter announcements!

• meet at stoneybrook west country club parking lot at 3:45 p.m.
• have all your forms ready to go
• if you need your forms notarized, i can do it for you
• please have your waivers signed for paintball and the skate park
• make sure you have looked at your "what to bring" list
• give your parents MY cell phone number - 407 496 4636 - you will NOT have your phones
• be sure to bring money for dinner on friday (we will stop at a fast-food joint)
• if you want anything from the camp store, bring extra money

memory verse

i apologize for not getting this out sooner! i know i said it verbally, but this week we are finishing up psalm 1 for our memory verse. you should be ready to say the whole thing:

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish."

mid-winter

attention all you kids (and volunteers) going to mid-winter:

if you are interested in playing paintball or skating at the skate park at the word of life center (where mid-winter will be), PLEASE MAKE SURE you fill out the forms i sent out in an email and return them to me before we leave. if you're not sure, you might want to still fill them out just in case :)

prayer requests and memory verses

hello all! our first meeting at stoneybrook west country club went very well. the space in which to run around and play crazy games and hang out is perfect for us! please remember if it is your turn to bring snacks, everything must be in a pre-packaged form (nothing homemade). this week it's the NETZORGS' turn to bring snack, and the following monday will be the OLDHAMS' turn.

this week's prayer requests:

jason: pray for his sister's decisions regarding staying out late and taking care of her kids

hannah: pray for an unspoken prayer about one of her friends; report cards; a friend at school whose cousin has stomach cancer and just had a baby

sara: pray for her brother and sister - steph and josh - returning to college; lung transplant for eric; her dad traveling to oklahoma for schooling to become a supervisor at his workplace

becky: pray for help with grades

liz: pray for her lacrosse training and for patience in learning the new sport

as for our bible memorization, we are continuing in psalm 1. you will need to say the previous two verses from last week, psalm 1:1-2, and add this week's, psalm 1:3-4:

moving day!

well after that amazing lock-out, i am looking forward to a day of S L E E P ! but before i allow myself to sink into oblivion until sunday night, i thought i'd give you some *very important information* ... please pay careful attention to the following:

- SECURITY is officially moving! we have a new home at the stoneybrook west country club. we will now meet on monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at this new location. this is effective IMMEDIATELY! our first meeting there will be THIS monday, january 8th.

-you may visit this website to get directions and information on the country club. it is located directly across the street from whispering oak elementary school in the stoneybrook west community.

- we will be memorizing the first book of psalms this month for our memory verses. this week you should be learning psalm 1:1-2.
