alrighty kids ... here's the information for saturday. no more complaining about being bored - they'll put you to work!

the address is 717 Virginia Drive, Orlando, 32803 and we're meeting there at 1:00 p.m. call me if you're interested in carpooling.

ALSO ... avalon is participating in s.t.a.r.s. (Supplies To Assist ouR Students). there are 380 students at whispering oak elementary school who are at 130% of the national poverty level. this status qualifies them for free lunches and other government assistance. however, there is no provision for school supplies. this is where avalon gets involved. we want to help provide school supplies for these children. it takes $12 per student to provide a backpack filled with all the supplies they need for the school year.

please bring your $12 (or $24, of $36, or $48 ... etc.) donation to church on sunday or youth group on monday.

are you bored this summer? here are some things you can do to pass the time!

1) thursday at 7p.m. at jr's attic in downtown winter garden

audrey johnson, personal friend of mine and member of pine ridge, will be playing her acoustic guitar and singing! jr's attic is family-friendly, all ages and has good food and coffee. come join me!

2) saturday at 1p.m. we will be meeting at the true life choice house on virginia drive

(i'll post directions closer to time)

we will be doing renovations, much like habitat for humanity. go to tlcwomenscenter.org for more information on their ministry (avalon supports them! - remember walk for life?)
