be aware ... be very aware ...

hey guys!

this blog is going to be your connection to security and all its goings-on. please make sure you are checking this page frequently, even daily, for updates and information that are important. it will have dates, locations, times and deadlines for all of our upcoming events. speaking of which, here are some right now:
  • lock-out on avalon hill december 22, 2006 at 4:00pm. for directions, please see www.avalonpca.org. be sure to wear clothes to get dirty in and bring clothes to sleep in, a flashlight, a bible, pen/paper (notebook or notepad), a sleeping bag and pillow, a tent (you can talk to your friends about sharing!), junk food (for those midnight snacks) and remember to be well-rested! we will be up all night :) this is a great event for bringing friends!

  • middle-school mid-winter 2007 january 26-28, 2007. forms are due to me no later than tomorrow. if you would like to go and you miss the deadline, the price will go up a bit but you can still go - so see me for the forms and all the necessary paperwork - we'd love to have you! tenth avenue north (an amazing praise band) will be performing and dan shipes, the high school youth pastor at seven rivers presbyterian, will be the guest speaker. kim and liz, you're all set to go, right????

  • golden pond communities visit had such an amazing response, i'd like to make it a monthly or every other month trip. the residents would love to see us, and i'm sure we'd love to entertain them with guitar, piano and songs. don't you already miss bill? anyway, please comment on this post with your thoughts, ideas or suggestions about upcoming golden pond events.
  • nacho libre party december 13, 2006 (during normal youth group hours). the location will either be at the salvo's home or the netzorg's home - details on that to follow. be sure to bring a nacho libre-themed snack to share (if you haven't seen the movie, use your imagination!). this is another red flag for friend invitations!

mark your calendars, and either comment here or email me with any questions (dayna@avalonpca.org). you can also feel free to call my cell (407) 496-4636 and please, if i don't answer, LEAVE A MESSAGE. my service is quite unreliable out here. i will get back to you as soon as i can!
